Established in 2007, enTrust Payment Systems was launched under a sanctioned program for economic and workforce development through Pennsylvania's CareerLink. We began our journey as an office of Cynergy Data. Cynergy Data was later acquired by Priority Payment Systems ]NASDAQ: PRTH]
enTrust Payment Systems, and its operating units, are organized under Sherwood Management Group LLC - a business consultancy company. The operating units are: enTrust Merchant Services, enTrust Commercial Payments, enTrust Healthcare Payments, enTrust Hospitality, and Sherwood Business Services.
In 2009, we were appointed managing agency for BAC|Credomatic, one of the largest banking and financial services companies in the Americas. The BAC|Credomatic Network is a leading player in financial and merchant services held by Group Aval - an $18 bn bank holding company. [NYSE: AVAL]. In 2023, BAC Credomatic exited the US merchant market but remains focused its commercial banking and lending portfolio.
In 2021, our office was promoted by Priority to managing ISO AGENCY which allowed us to focus on how best to navigate the COVID Pandemic economy and service our clients in each of our market segments.
We are uniquely qualified and position for as a multi-regional organization in the payments industry. enTrust is an enterprise devoted to developing economic potential and inspiring small businesses through purposeful relationships and business development. Mike Lichtenberger, CPP FInstIB
Group Executive and Chief Operating Officer
As a Certified Payment Professional Mike is among the nation's first class to earn this prestigious certification by the Electronic Transactions Association. Few, like Mike, can demonstrate their competence and understanding of this complex industry. Mike’s consultation skills are recognized by the Institute for Independent Business International [London] and he holds a distinguished Fellow designation.
Mike is a proud member of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and enTrust Payment Systems is the Chamber's preferred provider. Mike currently serves as a member of the Chamber's Board of Governors, and he is the immediate past chair of the Small Business Council. Mike was twice honored with the Excellence in Business Award and the President's Award for Service and Excellence.
Mike was appointed by the College President to the Business Department Advisory Board at Lehigh Carbon Community College. Through collaboration among faculty and staff, students, and the community, the Advisory Board offers strategy and leadership to advance learning, identify best practices for adult learning, and govern accreditation. In addition to his passion for small business and the local economy. Mike was previously program director for the College's Business Enterprise Center and the CareerLink Program for Entrepreneurship.
Lichtenberger is appointed to the Regional Transit Authority [Lehigh and Northampton Transit Authority - LANta] by the County Executive where Mike is currently Vice Chair of the Authority.
Mike is deeply involved in the community as a fundraising champion for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley and The GLVCC Snowball Gala event to raise awareness and funds for non-profits. Mike and enTrust Payment Systems was previously nominated for Business of the Year and Corporate Citizen honors for their philanthropic work..
Off the job, Mike is a life-long enthusiast and made an impact on youth and collegiate hockey as a Coach in Chief for USA Hockey and National Coach in Chief for the American Collegiate Hockey Association [ACHA.] Mike was twice named Coach of the Year by the Eastern Collegiate Hockey Association and is the recipient of the ACHA Spencer Award for Service and Leadership. Now retired from hockey coaching, Mike is elected Vice President of the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association and serves on the executive committee.
Before launching enTrust Payment Services, Lichtenberger spent 25 years in corporate leadership positions at Marine Midland Bank [HSBC,] United Technologies - Carrier, General Electric and BOC Gases.
